Written on the back of the photograph is "HIH the Duke of Harar (Prine Makonnen) + RNT Thompson. The Ethiopian Scout Commissioner + Deputy Commissioner 1953." In addition, there is small square of tissue paper taped to the back of the photograh with reproduction notes that read "Reduce to 1" H. Photo X."
