Audio 252a consists of the following recording:
Title: Many Speakers – “Staff and Faculty Day”
This may be a continuation of Aud 252b The first speaker - Tom Bulick? (Student Life) - is relating a story about a student who wanted to live off campus, but eventually agreed to live in dorms. She made a profession of faith, and later was one of two students were were killed in an accident on the island. Don Page (Academic Vice President) introduces new faculty members. Bill Norris (Human Resources) introduces new staff members. "Connie" is invited to speak about "Go Groups" - part of Orientation Week activities. An unidentified speaker mentions arrangements for the annual Faculty Retreat at the Abbey. Don Page announces lunch, and prays. At [24:28] the quality of the recording changes noticeably. An unidentified speaker is discussing the development of the Corinthian church and the importance of living a life that respects God. [This may have been the original content of this tape.]
Audio 252b consists of the following recording:
Title: Many Speakers – “Staff and Faculty Day”
The recording begins with singing, accompanied by the piano. Don Page introduces Kirk Kauffeldt (TWU Admissions) who discusses the needs, characteristics, and circumstances of students entering Trinity Western University. He discusses the relationship of youth to God and their expectations of the institution. He refers to the class of 1994. At [21:06] Dr. Don Page speaks briefly on education and ethics and on the idea of engaging the "whole student." Tom Bulick speaks on the role of the Student Affairs department. He is cut off in the middle of a sentence.
