Thompson was a founding director of Samaritan's Purse in Canada.

Scope and content

Object is a lazer engraved wooden plaque in appreciation of Dr. Robert Thompson's service of founding member of the Samaritan's Purse in Canada. The bottom left of the plaque features an engraved image of an individual bent over with their arms extended to assist another individual lying on the ground with their right arm extended. The engraved section has a bevelled edge and the outer edge of the plaque is rounded. On the back there is a manufacturer sticker indicating that it was made in Canada by Laserwood Inc.

The plaque reads: "Samaritan's Purse. Dr. Robert Thompson. With our sincere appreciation for your dedication as a Founding Director of Samaritan's Purse - Canada, and for 15 years of sacrificial commitment and service. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. I Corinthians 15:58.
