Administrative history

The President's Cabinet was the senior management team and operational decision-making body of the University during the period that these records were generated. It served as the budget committee, formulating the budget and financial actions recommended to the Board. It served as an advisory body to the President on all major policy and university-wide operational issues.

In September, 2003, the Cabinet was restructured into an Executive Committee and two subgroups: the University Operations Committee and the External Relations Committee ... in June, 2004, it was concluded that the Cabinet would return to a single committee structure, comprised of the President, Vice Presidents, the President's Executive Assistant, and an additional academic leader appointed by the Academic VP in consultation with the President. The University Operations Committee was disbanded; the External Relations Committee would continue to function as an advisory body for marketing activities, communication issues, and external relations initiatives.
