He is responsible for the overall spiritual, administrative, and educational integrity of the University, and has authority for administering all internal and external affairs of the University in keeping with policies set by the board.

The following have served as Presidents of Trinity:
1962-1974 Cal Hanson
1974-2006 Neil Snider

Executive Assistants to the President have included the following:

In June of 1961, during a conference of the Evangelical Free Church of America, the Canada School Committee elected Dr. Calvin B. Hanson as the first President.

In June of 1974, Dr. R. Neil Snider was elected as the University’s second President.

Duties of the President include, but are not limited to, “establishing and maintaining an effective organizational structure, recruiting and appointing senior administrative staff, exercising general supervision over the use of University properties, maintaining budgetary control, and serving as the University’s chief representative and spokesman.”

Following a unanimous vote on March 16, 2006, the Trinity Western University Board of Governors is pleased to announce the naming of Jonathan S. Raymond, PhD, as the third president of Trinity Western University, the Christian liberal arts university in Langley B.C. In addition to his appointment as president, Dr. Raymond has also been named to the faculty of the Department of Psychology at Trinity Western University. Dr. Raymond replaces Dr. Neil Snider who retires on June 30, 2006 after serving the University as president since 1974. This announcement begins a transition process which will result in Dr. Raymond fully assuming leadership by July, 2006. The Board of Governors is in the planning process for a series of retirement events to honour the 32 year service of Dr. Snider.

On February 22, 2013, the following announcement was communicated to the TWU community via email from Ann Coats:
The Board of Governors of Trinity Western University acknowledges with deep gratitude Dr. Jonathan Raymond’s tenure as Trinity’s third President. For seven years Dr. Raymond has served the university with honor and distinction, representing the school with the highest measure of integrity, dignity and wisdom. We have received and accepted his resignation from the office of President effective June 30, 2013, appreciating his desire to give attention to personal health issues. We welcome his continued service with the Trinity community as he transitions to the role of President Emeritus and Senior Fellow, whereby he will remain engaged in ambassadorial and scholarship responsibilities for the university.

On May 07, 2013 the following announcement was sent to the University Community by Ann Coats, on behalf of the Board of Governors:
Internal Announcement of Interim President
The Board of Governors is pleased to announce that Bob Kuhn, a Trinity alumnus (‘72), long-time supporter of the University, and Chair of the Leadership Advisory Counsel for the School of Business, has accepted the appointment as Interim President of Trinity Western University, starting July 1, 2013.
During the summer of 2014 Kuhn was appointed full President of the University; his inauguration was held on November 6.

On August 18, 2014 it was announced that Guy Saffold would be returning to TWU to serve as "part-time Special Assistant to the President, specifically for the purpose of facilitating the accomplishment of the New Era Objectives ... Although general in scope, his job description will focus on such areas as assisting the leadership team with ACTS related matters, finalization and implementation of new strategies such as online/mixed-modal, as well as some aspects of the School of Law issues."

I’m pleased to welcome Carson Pue, M.A., to Trinity Western University’s Executive Leadership Team as the Special Assistant to the President. He will be working closely with me as an advisor, as well as on special projects in fundraising, leadership development, church relations and communications. He’ll also assist me in relation to our proposed School of Law.
Email from President Kuhn, March 7, 2016

As of January 3, 2017, Carson Pue, Special Assistant to the President and a member of ELT, will serve as an interim leader in Student Life, liaising with ELT and coordinating with Student Life Directors. It is anticipated that Carson will serve in this position for several months.
