World War II Aviation Hat with Goggles

Object is a leather avation hat with goggles. The external hat is a brown leather, while the internal lining is an off-white fleece-like fabric, as well as green corduroy along the front internal lining. The internal fleece bears three black stamps, all of which are difficult to discern. The hat has three silver buckles: one under the chin and two on the back, which hold closed a slit in the leather. The hat also has two snaps to hold the goggles' band in place. The goggles are made of a darker leather, the sweatband comprised of brown corduroy. The lenses are tinted orange, and are contained within metal rims, each metal rim containing three small arration holes.

Royal Canadian Air Force Wedge Cap

Object is a Royal Canadian Air Force wedge cap. Grey-blue canvas comprises the outside of the cap, which features a gold emblem on the left side, depicting golden eagle and St. Edward's Crown. Two golden buttons stacked vertically adorn the front of the cap. The internal lining is grey satin, and thesweatband is comprised of brown velvet. An internal tag reads as follows: "MUIR Cap & Regalia Limited Manufacturers 51 Simcoe St. Toronto 2 Canada."

Object is a "'Douglas' combined protractor and parallel rule, designed by Commander H.P. Douglas" in a cardboard case with "Robert N. Thompson, Ft/Lieut" in pen on the front of the case and a paper explaining the ruler. The case is closed by a cloth tie. Two objects in the collection.

Object is a "Dalton Dead Reckoning Computer, Type E-6B, WEEMS System of navigation, Annapolis, MD", copyright by Philip Dalton, for flight calculations. The "computer" is in a brown leather-like case with "Robert N. Thompson, Sqd. Leader, 1943" on the front and "Robert N. Thompson Ft Lieut 1942" on the back.

Object is a Air Cadets of Canada lapel pin, one piece stamp gold eagle with its wings spread out surmounted by a maple leaf; gold scroll shaped band below the eagle with gold letter capitualized text in relief "AIR CADETS CANADA". The fastener is a slide pin backing.
