Handwoven grass basket with lid

Object is a handwoven medium sized round basket with a fitted lid made of raffia dyed grass of green, pink and tan. The bowl has alternating blocks of green and pink with a tan chevron design with triangles in the opposite spaces of the "v's". The bowl's lip has a stitched design. The lid is also composed of alternating blocks of green and pink with a diamond design on the middle section. The top of the lid as a conical design the spirals from the centre. From above, the lid appears to mimic a shell.

Ethiopian hunting knife

Object is a metal dagger with an ebony and ivory handle bands. The ebony bands has a dot of ivory with the second last band and butt has four ivory dots that form a diamond shape. The knife tang is a rounded ivory ball. There is a red cloth ribbon tied around the handle. There is a description taped to the blade and reads: "Ethiopian hunting knife made from ivory and ebony. Note pure copper rivets. Hand made from native materials and crude tools."

African wooden woman holding a baby figurine

Object is a carved wooden figurine depicting a woman wearing a series of silver collars and holding a baby. The back side of the figurine is made of lighter wood including the ear and arms and the rest is ebony, a dark wood.

Death mask

Object is a dark wooden carved mask from Ethiopia made out of ebony. The mask depicts a human face wearing a traditional headress of some kind that consist of two large bands made out of horizonatal lines that are separated with a small band of vertical lines. The top corners then feature diagonal lines measuring both an inch. On the back of the mask there is a tape label reading "Ebony Death Mask."

African wooden woman figurine

Object is a carved wooden figurine depicting a woman wearing a traditional African headpiece with a series of silver collars around her neck. The woman holds a gourd with both hands. The headpiece is tall and tapers upwards and features a carved design down the centre and edges.

Child death mask

Object is an ebony carved mask of a child with a flat back. The child has rounded cheeks, a pointed chin, and their mouth is slightly turned down. The child's face is placed on a rounded surface with carved half moons on either side of the child's ears. The left moon is missing. The top is carved hollow diamond, possible for hanging.

Item is a watercolour illustration of the Calvin B. Hanson Chapel. It depicts the Chapel with students exiting the front entrance. Flowered bushed bloom in front of the windows, as well as in the foreground on the lawn. To the right of the building are two large trees, and other trees are seen in the background behind the chapel. In the foreground, on the lawn, three geese peruse the grass.The illustration bears a metal plate that reads as follows: "Presented to Calvin and Muriel Hanson in Recognition of your many years of commitment dedication and servant leadership to Trinity Junior College and Trinity Western College 1962-1974." The illustration is in a silver frame.
