Item is a print photograph of what is believed to be an ensemble for an unknown theatrical production. Two rows of individuals stand on stage around a group of four individuals seated. Two of the seated individuals wear graduation gowns and caps, another individual wears a dress with ruffled shoulders and beside them is an individual in a suit with a beard. In front of the stage stands ten individuals wearing pill hats slantered to the right with a dark stripe. Robert Thompson stands in the back row, eighth from the left in blackface.

Boy Scouts patches

Object (RNT-ob-0113a) is a woven Boy Scouts patch with a red fleur-de-lis with gold stars in the outer leaves. The text "Boy Scouts" is embroidered in gold thread. The patch is tear shaped in olive green. Object (RNT-ob-0113b) is woven Boys Scouts Be Prepared patch in olive green with gold lettering. The text "Be Prepared" is inside a red outlined flag. The patch is oval shaped with the outer corners slightly raised upwards.

Boy Scouts Leader Hat with wooden case

Object is a felt Boy Scouts hat. The hat is made of a brown felt and has a wide, flat brim and rounded top, featuring a thick leather band around the base, which buckles on the left side of the hat. Attatched to the buckle is a silver hat plume holder reading "Be Prepared" with grey plumage emerging from the top. There is also a beige lace with copper aglets that is visible on the back of the hat and threats through two eyelets on the brim to act as a chinstrap. There are two eyelets on either side of the hat. The sweatband of the hat is made of leather and is pressed with multiple stamps. The first reads "'[Official]' Leaders Hat Boy Scouts Assosiation Ottawa - Canada." The second reads "Registered in England and Foregin Countries Comfort Hat: Cusion Fitting Fractional Sizes Positive Ventilation Patent No 10005." The third reads "See The Elastic Is Tied Under Leather To Regulate Size: Patent Bon Ton Ivy No 10005." There is a wooden stained plywood case that the hat slides into protecting the rim. The case's edges are nailed and stamped in. The top features a cut out where the case can be mounted on the wall. The back of the board reads in black marker "Thompson".
