Emperor Haile Selassie with Field Marshal Montgomery.

Item is a print photograph of Emperor Haile Selassie I standing beside Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery at the Bole Airport in Addis Ababa. They are both dressed in military uniform and stand on the bottom carpeted step of a covered platform with other individuals. There is a an elaborate throne that sits at the top of the stairs to the right.

Ethiopian Star Button

Object is a triangluar shaped star military button with three main points and three smaller points in between the main ones. The button is known as the Ethiopian star.

First EAL Flight to Jimma, Ethiopia.

Item is a print photograph of a crowd standing in front of an Ethiopian airplane. The airplane has its loading door open. "EAL" is featured on the tail of the airplane laid on top of feathers in Ethiopia's colours. The photograph was originally kept in a plastic sleeve with the following text written on the sleeve "The first EAL flight to Jimma, 1945. Official Agent - Robert Thompson. Ass't (Assistant) Agent - Zersennai Abraha."

Item is a print family portrait of Emperor Haile Selassie with his family. Seated left to right: Menen Asfaw, and Haile Salessie. Standing left to right: [Prince Sahle], Princess Tenagnework, and Amha Selassie. Haile Selassie and the princes are dressed in military uniforms. On the surface of the photograph is illegible writing.

World War II Aviation Hat with Goggles

Object is a leather avation hat with goggles. The external hat is a brown leather, while the internal lining is an off-white fleece-like fabric, as well as green corduroy along the front internal lining. The internal fleece bears three black stamps, all of which are difficult to discern. The hat has three silver buckles: one under the chin and two on the back, which hold closed a slit in the leather. The hat also has two snaps to hold the goggles' band in place. The goggles are made of a darker leather, the sweatband comprised of brown corduroy. The lenses are tinted orange, and are contained within metal rims, each metal rim containing three small arration holes.

Ethiopian Air Force Commander's Cap

Object is a military cap made of canvas and leather. The olive-coloured canvas forms the upper portion of the cap. The front of the hat bears a embroidered crest of wings, a wreath, and a coat of arms with slightly shiny thread. while the brim is brown leather. There is a leather strap across the front half of the hat just above the rim, fastened on either side by silver buttons. The internal lining is a pale green cotton with brown thread threaded in a crisscross pattern, as well as a pale leather sweatband. There is also lime green velvet stitched to the front half of the internal rim.

Ethiopian Air Force Commander's Cap

Object is an Ethiopian Commander's wedge cap. The external cotton-canvas is army green, while the fabric within the outer folds of the hat--as well as the inner lining--are brown. The internal rim is lined with brown leather. The front left side of the hat features an embroidered emblem in gold-ish thread, depicting a set of wings and a star.

Star Button

Object is a six point star military button. In between each point are engraved lines to accentuate the points.

First graduating pilots of the Ethiopian Air Force.

Item is a print photograph of Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie standing in the centre among the first graduating class of pilots for the Ethiopian Air Force. The photograph was originally kept in a plastic sleeve with the following text written on the sleeve "The first group of Graduating Pilots of the Ethiopian Air Force 1944. About 8 of these came to the Ethiopian Lines in 1945. Col. (Colonel) Robert Thompson - Officer Commanding." Both photographs are duplicates however they are reversed.
