Developing Leaders Together: The Principles Behind our Learning Community [Core Values Booklet]

This publication, numbering 77 pages in length, contains the Core Values of Trinity Western University. In his forward, Dr. Neil Snider writes, "In this booklet we describe the core values that define the Trinity Western community. Many members of the Trinity Western community contributed to defining and writing about our core values, with our Board of Governors giving final approval to the resulting documents. We first describe Trinity Western as an arm of the Church. Then we explain each of our six core values: obeying the authority of Scripture, growing disciples in community, pursuing faith-based and faith-affirming learning, striving for excellence in university education, servant leadership as a way of life, and having a transformational impact on culture. We have also included several other statements that help define our community: responsibilities of membership in the Trinity Western community, what we believe about the sanctity of marriage, and one about the nature of creation. Finally, to facilitate discussion, we conclude with summaries of each core value statement." (page 1)
Also included are the University's mission statement, a statement on Academic Freedom, and a brief history of the University
