Title: Bill Hull – “The Foundation”
[Bill Hull worked with Athletes in Action, then served as a pastor in the Evangelical Free Church from ca. 1980 to ca. 2000; for eight years after that he was the U.S. Director for the Evangelical Free Church of America.]
Hull reviews his presentation from the previous day. He encourages students to constantly share their experience with Jesus Christ, and asks the question: what kind of team are you putting on the field?” Hull argues that God’s joy comes from his people. As his people, Christians are called to be active in their faith and engage others through Christ.
Audio 58b consists of the following recording:
Title: Tom Bulick (Student Life) – “Discipleship” / Bob Botsford (Alumni) – “Youth Development International”
Tom Bulick encourages his listeners to grow in their faith and prioritize discipleship in Christ. He explores what it means to be a disciple of Christ. He references 1 John 2. He emphasizes the importance of discipline in faith and maturity in all aspects of life. He also discusses the role of the Holy Spirit in the growth of faith and community. There is a thorough discussion of maturity in friendships and the importance of spiritual discipline. There is a discussion of the struggle to maintain a positive value environment. At time code [26:22] another chapel service begins and Bob Botsford speaks on Youth Development International (YDI) and the importance of engaging youth through the hotline.
