The sheath is simple and unpatterned, featuring two metal rings on the upper portion. The sword's blade is decorated with images of the Coat of Arms, a set of crossing swords, a crowned lion with a flag, and other images and symbols. The upper portion of the blade bears an Amharic inscription, translated to read [The Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah has prevailed].
