Walking Stick

Object is a walking stick. It is made from a red-toned wood. It is a single, thin stick that splits into two at the top, forming a triangular shape. Just below this split, the stick is wrapped in copper wire.

Shaman Stick

Object is a shaman stick. It is made from what appears to be carved bone and wood. The top of the stick is black and rounded, and is followed by many white bone rings that cover the rest of the stick. Small, oval-shaped holes are carved into each ring. The end of the sitck is also black.

Silver Guard of Honour Sword

Object is a Silver Guard of Honour sword. The sword's hilt features the mouth of lion, out of which the guard emerges, connecting at the bottom of the grip. The grip is decorated with dark grey metal and gold, swirling stripes. The guard is carved with the Coat of Arms of Haile Selassie. The sheath is simple and unpatterned, featuring two metal rings on the upper portion. The sword's blade is decorated with images of the Coat of Arms, a set of crossing swords, a crowned lion with a flag, and other images and symbols. The upper portion of the blade bears an Amharic inscription, translated to read [The Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah has prevailed].

Sword and Scabbard of Prince Amedeo, Duke of Aosta

Object is a sword and scabbard. The sword's hilt, knuckle guard, and guard feature inticate carvings, including the face of a lion. The guard features a crest of some sort. The grip is white and carved with horizontal lines. The scabbard is black with golden metal accents, inluding at the top of the scabbard, halfway down wherein there is a ring, and at the bottom. These golden additions are also patterned. The blade of the sword is also carved with swirling patterns.

Object is a sword and scabbard. The Sword's hilt is black, while the guard is a simple silver. The scabbard is black, other than silver detailing on the end and the top. The blade itself bears some swiling patterns, and a large imprint reading "MADE IN INDIA."

Item is a framed acknowledge of the importance of a library. This acknowledge was printed on manila paper with the Trinity Western University logo of the original torch on the bottom right of the text and signed by both the Board Chair and President. The text is cursive in black ink and the first letter of each paragraph is capitalized. The text reads: “To All Who Read. The construction of the library, the first unit of the University Centre, begun with a sod-turning ceremony on Monday, March 14, 1988. Libraries are central to any academic institution and many will watch with pride the development and use of the library at Trinity Western University. May all those who search for truth and do their research and study here recognize that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” and that in Jesus Christ “are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Signed and sealed this Fourteenth Day of the March in the Year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Eight. [signed by] Dr. John Bjorkstam, Chairman, Board of Governors, and Dr. R. Neil Snider, President.” The frame is blonde wood with a double matte, the outer is cream and the inner is red.
