Title: Dr. Jerry Chip MacGregor – “Interview on Sex”
Dr. MacGregor is interviewed by Ron, a student, in regards to Christian sexual behaviour. This is part of a multi-day lecture series. Chip collected anonymous questions from the student body. He addresses the concepts of how far is too far, loneliness, guilt, abstinence, forgiveness, masturbation, what to do if a couple crosses the line sexually, and the spirituality of sex. He provides three keys to integrating spirituality and sexuality: a dynamic relationship with God, drawing standards outside the heat of the moment, and discussing standards as a couple. To recover, he recommends discussing faltering with God, reestablishing relationship with God, and correcting the behaviour. Finally, he discusses the effects of sexual abuse. [MacGregor served as Associate Vice President of Student Life at TWU in the early 1990s. He has also been a pastor, author, and literary agent.]

[Recording begins with interview already in progress, possibly in an office setting] Reimer discusses a variety of issues including, slavery, abortion, decision-making, Trinity Western University (its personnel and students), being a Christian in politics, Christian businessmen, and honest hard work.

Dr. Guy Saffold speaks at the Marriott Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, on “Effective Leadership Principles”. He uses studies conducted on effective leaders to debunk the four myths of leadership, which are: leadership is hereditary, leadership is “visible”, leadership is authority, and [the fourth one is not mentioned]. He discusses the importance of servant leadership [15:30]. He explores “Critical Success Factors” at length. The primary principles of leadership are examined. Various forms of leadership are discussed. He takes questions from the audience. At [42:00] he introduces Rick Sutcliffe, TWU Professor in Computing Science.

Dr. Don Page, Academic Vice President, lectures on the changing nature of Canadian society. He discusses the struggling economy in Canada and the Third World, as well as changes in the Asia-Pacific Region. He discusses the dynamic of greed and poverty and questions the ethical implications. He discusses genetic engineering. He asks, “Do we let science expand on what it finds possible, or what society finds acceptable, or what the taxpayer finds affordable, or what God says is morally acceptable?” He discusses changes in birth rates in Canada. Finally, he discusses the challenge of Christian students to develop in a secular system. He speaks to the importance of the Christian Leaders in Residence program.

Dr. Snider speaks on the development of Trinity Western University during his time as president. He introduces Dr. Don Page who discusses the changes in the world and the importance of the Christian community being attuned to those changes.

Archivist's notes, 2007: Development Event. Dr. Snider opens, announcing that "there will be a video in a few minutes that will tell you about Trinity Western." He comments on the interest in Pacific Rim countries - like Korea - regarding establishing some kind of affiliation with Trinity. He shares his own vision for Trinity, which includes academic excellence, the "student development approach" (that students learn as much outside the classroom setting as inside, so the whole environment is key), and accomplishing both of these from a biblical perspective. "We are here tonight to thank you for standing with us." Snider states that the motto for the current year, "truth unto godliness," is taken from Titus 1. He introduces the video. The recording is interrupted.

A panel of TWU representatives continues to answer questions on a variety of issues related to Christian leadership until [22:22]. They are led in prayer until the end of the recording.

Title: President Snider – “Panel Discussion”
Dr. Snider moderates a panel dscussion that includes Dr. Guy Saffold (TWU Administrator), Dr. Bob Burkinshaw (TWU Professor), Dr. Don Page (TWU Administrator), Mr. Melvin Smith (Lawyer and constitutional expert), and Carol Gran (Minister of Government Management Services and Minister Responsible for Women's Programs). Dr. Snider summarizes the position of each panel member. He thanks them for speaking and invites Carol Gran to speak. Gran focuses on the subservient role of women in Christian society. Drs. Burkinshaw and Page respond. The impact of constitutional law on various issues is discussed by Mel Smith as he answers various questions. Dr. Page answers questions and shares his faith journey. Dr. Snider makes some closing remarks.
