Bob Thompson is introduced by Dr. Hargis [founder of the Christian Crusade movement] at a convention in Tulsa. He discusses his family and American roots. He shares several personal anecdotes and lessons learned through his life experience. He focuses on Canadian and American relations, including the establishment of the 49th parallel, the ease of border crossing and draft dodging. He discusses the importance of Christians being involved in government. He reinforces the point that morality is needed within the law. He discusses the perils of communism and the importance of being aware of world politics, including the invasion of Tibet.
Audio 262b consists of the following recording:
Title: Robert N. Thompson – “Christian Friends of the Christian Crusade”
This is a continuation of Thompson’s lecture on Aud. 262a. He continues his discussion on the political situation in Tibet. He explores the consequences of communism at length. He asserts the danger of neutrality. He interprets the call of Christ as “to go out and preach and live”. He implores those present to become active in their faith. He states that there is no neutrality with Jesus Christ.
