The fonds consists of correspondence, speeches, articles, notes, minutes, photographs, scrapbooks and other records relating to Thompson's personal life, his involvement with various organizations, his military career and work in Ethiopia, his political career as MP and national leader of the Social Credit Party of Canada, and his work as an educator.

Note that in addition to these textual records, the RNT Fonds is also comprised of the following:

1. A large number of artifacts, many of which are on display in the RNT building on the TWU campus
2. Audio and video cassettes, filed in the database with Coll. 02, the A/V collection; also physically filed with other A/V materials
3. Scrapbooks containing news clippings and personal memorabilia sorted in chronological order (from 1960 to 1996)
4. Scrapbooks containing political cartoons clipped from newspapers, sorted in chronological order (1963-1996)
5. Photographs

The fonds consists of professional documents relating to Lyle Wicks' political career and includes correspondence, reports, minutes, news releases, news clippings, campaign materials, government documents, and photographs.
These materials are sorted into two series:
Series 01: Social Credit Materials
Series 02: British Columbia Utilities Commission
The fonds also includes a collection of reports on the Workmen's Compensation Board and Act (1942; 1950; 1952; 1958; 1966)
In 2005/2006 two additional series were created:

The fonds consists of records dating from 1956 to 1997 that document the activities and functions of the Registrar's Office. It provides a unique source of information regarding the founding and early development of the University, as well as student-related matters including grades, admissions, scholarships, transfers, and graduation. Also included are financial records, annual reports, statistical summaries, survey results, and correspondence pertaining to the administration of the department.

Fonds consists of four series: governance, administration, conferences, and publications. The fonds consists mainly of correspondence related to the general activities of the CSCH. The fonds also consists of minutes of annual and executive meetings, financial reports, copies of the society's constitution, membership lists, conference planning, paper abstracts, and copies of the annual journal.

The fonds consists of records that document the activities and functions of the University Communications Department, including correspondence, minutes, promotional materials, sample publications, reports and proposals, financial and personnel records, and records pertaining to special events sponsored by the University.

The Board of Governors fonds consists of records that document the activities and functions of the Board of Governors and its associated committees. Such documents include internal and external correspondence, memos, minutes, reports, proposals, and notes.

Fonds consists of published materials including articles, addresses, essays, poetry, books, theses, etc., written by faculty members. Only faculty publications donated voluntarily to the archives are filed here.
