Audio 296a consists of the following recording:
Title: Many Speakers – “Marlie Snider: a Celebration of Life”
This is a continuation of Aud 295, a recording of a memorial service for Marlie Snider, wife of President Neil Snider. An unidentified man [possibly Dr. Marvin Kehler] leads the group in prayer, thanking God for the way Marlie has impacted the world, the community, and those present. A second unidentified man [possibly Ron Unruh, President of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada] reflects on Marlie’s final battle with cancer and her relationship with God. He emphasizes the importance of a personal relationship with God. He reads from and discusses scripture. At [15:30] there is further music and singing performed by a mixed ensemble accompanied by a piano, until [23:13]. Dr. Guy Saffold (TWU Administrator) is invited to conclude the service. He and his wife, Sue, lead the group in prayer. There is further piano music until the end of the recording.
