Object is award recognizing Robert Thompson as Christian Chiropractor of the Year. The award is engraved on a metal plate that is affixed to a wooden plaque with a bevelled edge. The plated has a marblized edge of brown, orange and gold with four floret rivets attaching it to the wooden plaque. On the back there is a manufacturer sticker from Craft, Trophy and Ribbon Company located 164 North Colleage Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado.
The plaque reads: "Dr. Robert N. Thompson, Christian Chiropractor of the Year, Awarded by Christian Chiropractor Association, June 26, 1982."

General note
In May 1939, Thompson was obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Afterwards he completed an intership in Clearview Sanatorium. By fall 1939, Thompson passed the Alberta Government Examination with Honours as a Chiropractic Physician. The following year, Thompson became a member-for-life of the Chiropractic Association of Canada. From 1963 to 1965, Thompson was president of the Canadian Chiropractic College.
