Scope and content
Audio 246a consists of the following recording:
Title: Mr. Cooper – “My Journey”; Leland Asa [?] – “Dippers and Buckets”; Unidentified Speaker – “Ephesians 4”
Mr. Cooper, a "converted night club singer," shares his testimony through song at chapel. He performs several songs, some his own original compositions, beginning with "Whither Thou Goest," and then sharing a song he wrote called "Son of Abraham." He sings and accompanies himself on the guitar. The M.C. interjects, saying he should tell the students where he is from. Cooper says he is from St. Lucia in the West Indies. He continues to perform and speak of Christ's great love, to [18:25]. A new recording begins. An unidentified male [likely Leland Asa] speaks at chapel. He shares the importance of “the golden rule”, found in Matthew 7:12. He shares an anecdote from the "olden days" about dippers and buckets. He is interrupted by a bell or buzzer. He continues to speak a bit longer, then leads the group in prayer and concludes at [37:26]. Another recording begins, with an unidentified male chapel speaker reading from and discussing Ephesians Chapter 4. He discusses life calling and the beauty of God. He is cut off in the middle of a sentence.
Audio 246b consists of the following recording:
Title: Unidentified Speaker – “Ephesians 4”; Lancen Ross - "The Call"
This is a continuation of the recording on Aud. 246b. The unidentified male chapel speaker continues his discussion on the importance of putting an end to hatred. He discusses the importance of embracing God. There is the sound of a buzzer, and he closes in prayer. At [12:13] another recording begins. Lancen Ross, identified as working on a part-time basis for Trinity in the area of financial development, is invited to speak. [There are some issues with the quality of this recording, making it difficult to understand.] He discusses what it means to live a Christian life, and to be called.
