Geoff Tunnicliffe, president of International Teams of Canada, speaks on how to be an effective disciple of Jesus Christ at a chapel service. He outlines the character qualities that are essential to be an effective follower of Christ; these include: to be a man or woman of faith, to be willing to take risks, and to be persistent. [He runs out of time and is unable to discuss persistence at length] He illustrates his points with several interesting and amusing anecdotes. Most of his anecdotes relate to missions work. Finally, he leads the group in prayer.

Title: Dr. John Redekop – “Leadership”
There is an announcement [Guy Saffold?] regarding a book signing and reception for “A House of Minorities” by Dr. Robert Thompson. This event coincides with the celebration of Douglas Day. Dr. Redekop, Adjunct Professor at TWU for the past four years, and the head of Canadian Studies at Wilfred Laurier University, is introduced at length. Dr. Redekop speaks on the biblical figure of Daniel . He extrapolates the traits of Christian leaders from the deeds of Daniel. He illustrates his points by relating anecdotes from the life of Dr. Robert Thompson and his wife, Hazel. He shares some of his own triumphs in comparison to Daniel. He imparts on those present the importance of radiating faith and integrity. He closes by quoting from St. Francis of Assisi. An unidentified speaker closes in prayer.
