There is no documentation on how Robert Thompson aquired this bear paw, whether it was a gift directly from Haile Selassie, or if it was purchased in Ethiopia.
Scope and content
Object is a bear paw. There is medium-brown fur along the top of the paw, which bears five claws. There is a patch image attatched to the paw made of red, yellow, green, and white fabric, displaying an embroidered portait of Haile Selassie within a ring of leaves and a crown hovering about his head. There is also a golden pin attatched to the bottom of patch, featuring The Lion of Judah emblem.

Images of the artifact/object was taken by a Fuji X-A1 digital camera on a white background. Three images were created the Photoshop file (source file), the preservation copy (TIFF) and the access copy (Jpeg). The image was manipulated using Adobe Photoshop to brighten the background, crop the image, and insert the identification number.
