Public Speaking Medallion Pendant

Object is a stirling silver medallion pendant awarded to Robert Thompson who won first place in a public speaking contest. The medallion is attached to a metal pendant clip. The front inscription reads: "Public Speaking Contest, 1st, Heckla, S.D." The back inscription: "Markerville, 1925, Junior Fair, R. Thompson." The front inscription is mounted on a rounded base that is surrounded by a laurel wreath. The medallion was manufacturered by P.W. Ellis.

Commemorative Plate for Viet Nam Military Service

Object is a commemorative plate for military service with a tiger on the front and multi coloured yellow, green, and pink tassels attached on the top. There is an engraving on the plate reading "Mr. Robert N. Thompson, 1967.3.11, M/G Byang Hion Lew, CG, Tiger Rok Division, Vietnam". The centre features a raised emblem of a side profile of a tiger’s face roaring. The emblem background is green and the tiger is orange and red. This emblem represents the Tiger Division of Republic of Korea Army. On either side of the emblem has engraved Korean script, Hangul, which translates to "fierce tiger".

Object is a Tiger Divison Republic of Korea Army lapel pin. The emblem background is green with a side profile head of a tiger with its month open, the tiger is orange with black strips and a red month. The fastener are light aqua rubber clutches.

Object is a 78th Fraser Highlanders Regiment Service medal attached to a light blue ribbon. In bronze gilt, obverse illustrates the 78th Fraser Highlanders regimental insignia, reverse inscribed "THE 78th FRASER HIGHLANDERS REGIMENT SERVICE MEDAL" within an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves

Order of St. John Lapel Pin

Object is an Order of St. John lapel pin with a white Maltese cross and the British Imperial State Crown above in gold. The cross and crown sits on red fabric. There is no fastener.

Honours and Awards Granted to Robert Norman Thompson O.C. (1945-1994) (framed)

Object is a customed framed shadow box displaying awards and medals that were given to Robert Thompson for his various professional, military, political, and social justice achievements. The frame is a stained burgundy wood with an elaborate inner gold bevelled edge with a foral design. Centred in the top portion of the shadow box is a brass plaque with the inscription "HONOURS AND AWARDS GRANTED TO ROBERT NORMAN THOMPSON O.C. 1945-1994." The shadow box has four panels and the awards and medals are mounted on red velvet.

Object is a customed framed shadow box that is the description for the awards and medals framed piece that were given to Robert Thompson for his various professional, military, political, and social justice achievements. The vertical frame is a stained burgundy wood with an elaborate in relief bevelled edge in a floral chain design. There are three panels: Panel 1) title that reads: "Honours and Awards granted to Robert Norman Thompson O.C. 1945-1994."; Panel 2): colour image of Robert Thompson wearing a red military jacket with his military bar medals on his left breast, the Order of Canada hangs from his neck, and the Star of Ethiopia is pin to the lower left side of the jacket. The image measures 5 x 8.2 cm; Panel 3): lists the awards and medals that are mounted on the associated shadow box, for a description see, RNT-ob-0137.

Marketing award certificates.

File consists of award certificates recognizing TWU's Marketing and Communications department for their work from the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education. Certificates were awarded for best poster (Spartan Athletics Poster, 1999), best magazine (Trinity Western Magazine, 2002), and best new idea: creativity on a shoestring (TWU Faculty Training Program).

Thirty Years of Service Certificate for Dr. R. Neil Snider.

File consists of a certificate awarded to Dr. R. Neil Snider for 30 years of service. The service award has the biblical verse from Hebrews 6:10 written in the left corner and reads: "God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them." The certificate is signed by Allan G. Hedberg (Board of Governors) and Kristen Corrigan (Human Resources)
