General note
Between May 2007 and June 2009 TWU AV Assistant Aaron Martens digitized the audio recordings collection, in his office, as his other responsibilities permitted. He recorded all files from a Califone 2455AV, captured them by ScenalyzerLive 4.0 and edited them using Audacity 1.2.6. Editing was limited to removing blank-tape silences of more than a minute in duration, at the beginning or end of a recording. In accordance with the best archival standards available at the time, he recorded at 44.1kHz @ 16-bit resolution via Canopus ADVC110, saving files in .wav format. Betwewen September 2010 and April 2011, thanks to grant funding from Library and Archives Canada, the Archives Student Assistant created content notes and converted files from .wav to .mp3 using Dexster v3.2 Copyright Softdiv Software Sdn Bhd; these converted mp3s were then uploaded to a server, and linked to their respective recordings. In a few cases, due to copyright issues or tape breakage during digitization, the files are not linked and are therefore not accessible online.
General note
Transcripts have been created for a series of oral history interviews, as well as two slide show presentations; please see archival staff for more information, or visit the archives website at http://archives.twu.ca/ Select "special collections" and then "oral history interviews."
General note
Transcripts for some other recordings are also available; these are filed in Fonds 41 in hard copy, while PDF copies have been linked to their respective recordings online
